I am the stepmother of a 6-year-old girl. My husband has been in and out of court since the time he signed his PSA in 2001 trying to get more time with his daughter. Unfortunately his ex is a very jealous and vengeful person, and has put her selfishness before the needs of the child. He has only managed to get a small amount of increase (3 hrs. per week) in his parenting time. All he's really asked for is to begin his weekends on Fridays (which now begin 1:00 on Saturday) and alternate x-mas eve sleepover into x-mas day between parents (now he doesn't start his visitation until 4pm x-mas day every year). It seems like the original PSA is practically set in stone and a "change in circumstance" has to be an act of god to modify it. We have spent thousands of dollars on lawyers, and not gotten very far. This might just be wishful thinking, but are their any father's rights, or child's rights groups in new jersey that might be able to help us? If you have any information, or personal experiences that might help, please share.....we're desperate.
