give notice of the storage of the goods to:-


if the tenant has left a forwarding address - the tenant; and

if another person has, to the knowledge of the landlord, an interest in the goods and the person's name and address are known to, or reasonably ascertainable by, the landlord - that person; and

This really depends on lease terms and state law. Some states require that landlords hold tenant items for a certain period of time if the lease does not give them authority to remove things. -Some states may require that tenant items be stored in a certain manner, or certain types of storage facilities.
