I have a prior post which may explain this better. It was in the purchase agreement when we bought the house that the tenant, tenants son and her dog would stay for one year at an unheard of low amount. We signed the papers and she refused to pay rent, moved in tons of animals, moved in a boyfriend, turned the place into a junk yard and has ruined the property. Well it also said in the agreement that the stove, fridge, washer and dryer were the tenants and she could take them when she leaves. Well aparently she can do what she wants and the law lets her even though shes in the wrong. So can we then keep those appliances once we finally get her out?
By the way does anyone know of a lawyer in or near cortland county NY. We havent been able to find one who is willing to take on eviction cases.
