My sister moved into a condo in Utah a few weeks ago. She has all of the documentation signed by the owner of the property. The property was up for sale but the owner stated in an email that he would not let the condo be occupied until her lease was up in April.
Evidently the unit has sold and now the owner is trying to kick her out now. Anything she can do?
Thanks for your help.

The terms of the lease that she signed will prevail. She does have a lease, doesn't she? Has she read it?

She told me she does. And I would assume that she has read it. But we all know what assumption is and what it makes us.

Usually there are only two cases where a lease is not binding on the new owner:
- Sale for tax delinquency
- Sale for foreclosure of mortgage

Thanks for your help!!
The issue has been resolved. I think the owner knew that he could not break the lease. He found her a new appt. and covered all expences.
Thanks!
