My husband is in construction and gets laid off from time to time, when he open this claim originally in Dec. 2006 they had the correct address and information and we received everything, he worked for most of the year but then was laid off on Oct. 15th, we never recieved the paperwork and he called and somehow they had the wrong address on file (not sure how b/c they didn't before) Anyway it got sent to the wrong place and we had it corrected and they resent it to our home, but now they have the wrong dates on there and the claim day is not till Nov. 20th. How do we fix this, it has been a total nightmare and we really need that unemployment check. Is there a way to fix this quickly? It just doesn't seem like we are getting anywhere fast with the unemployment office. Thanks for your help.

The unemployment agency is the only ones that can "fix" this. Sometimes, it's worth the time to actually go down to the local office, take a number, and speak to someone face to face. Bring a (big) book.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Unfortunately he can't go to the office b/c he is now back to work with a new company and doesn't want to take time off since he's only worked for 4 days at this point. I guess he is just going to have to continue calling. :(

Hey, at least he's working. I'm still job searching. *sigh*

Try emailing. Sometimes you can get a more timely response. If that doesn't work, write a letter.
