Unemployed since March (with the exception of a 6-week contract job in June-July), I haven't yet been placed permanently, and my benefits have just about run out. I'd like to get a master's degree in English so that I can teach -- a complete change of direction. Can anyone direct me to information as to whether New Jersey provides either extensions on unemployment insurance for that reason?

They will not pay you unemployment to go to school.

You should have gone to school while you were unemployed since March. However, all kinds of student loans are available to you.
