I have been working for a construction company for about three years now doing payroll. I am not experienced at all in this so here are my questions.
We have employees that work out of town. Usually they work 12 hr. days not including drive time. Becuase of them working 12 hrs. would they get paid time and a half for drive? What is calculated now is their working rate x's the hours driven. We also pay our employees subsistance for food and pay for their hotel or airfare if necessary. Is there anything else that we need to do as a company to be in California code in regards to out of town construction?
