my niece and nephew are both here in colorado for 2 1/2 years with my husband and I. I am a US citizen and my husband has his permanent residency card. We have a notorized statement of guardianship of my niece who is 10 years old and my nephew who is 16 years old. We wish to adopt them and the parents who are also here illegally in another state give their consent as well as the children. Where do we go from here without involving costly lawyers and such and do the paperwork ourselves.:) :) :)
