I was recently fired from my job due to a compliance regulation that changed within the last two years but because of a merger and working in a new role. I never change the way I processed a certain transaction in order to comply. I receive my vacation pay out. Am I eligible to receive my sick payout? I reside in the state of Massachusetts but worked in the State of Rhode Island.

To my knowledge, no state requires sick pay payouts. A company could in theory have a policy that requires this, but this would be atypical.
