I was continously employeed at a company since 2003. I have been unemployed and unpayed by my employer since June 2nd 20006,
I was a miniority partner in the bussiness and the majority partner
determined that there was no longer enough money being made by the corp.
to afford my salary in June of 2006 and he stopped paying me.

The company closed it's doors on Sept. 1st 2007.

Can I collect NJ unemployment benifits and if so starting when and retroactive to when ?

That's up to the state. I'm assuming you were paid as an employee and your wages were reported quarterly to the state, and UI taxes were paid both by you and the company.

All you can do is file. It's free, there's no penalty for being wrong, and you're no worse off if benefits are denied than you are now.

Or, sue your partner for your portion of the earnings.
