I owned property for 3 years and grazed my cattle on it. The neighbor built a new home, then had her property surveyed only to find she built on my property. Now she is suing me for the 2 acres of mine that her house is on. She wants it for nothing as I bought my property with the words more or less in the deed, as she did hers. Possible? Who's right to the property?

Who's been paying taxes on the property? The courts will almost always side with whomever has been paying the property taxes for that plot of land.

Where was the county building department when she built? They might be liable if they approved the permit without a correct plat.
You could offer to sell enough land to contain the house and immediate surroundings.
Or you could claim the entire house, since it was attached to your land. Then she could sue the builder for the mistake.

Would this property be in Washington County? They keep putting my land in a different area. They actually sold off 4 acres of what they kept saying was my land. It took 6 months to get it straightened out, even with 2 surveys ( 1 of our plot and 1 of the one they kept saying it was located) and 3 previous owners legal statements. This has actually happened 2 times. The only way I find out is I keep going in to check where my property is on their maps and in their system. I'm going to a lawyer with other land matters in the same county and I'm going to see what he say's about this one. Good luck if you are in Washington county, they have no building or zoning laws.
