I have been employed at my company for a little over a year. I am a delivery driver and mechanic at an electrical generator company. Initially I was hired as a salaried employee and told i was a full time employee with free health benefits. After about 11 months here my employer changed me from salary to hourly, but still gave me 40+ hours per week. Now i am being told i will be getting less and less hours. The managers who hired me are no longer with my company (there are only 5 people in my company). They are still available to me and confirmed i was hired as a full time 40+ hour employee. Does my employer have the right to drop my hours for no particular reason on my part. There is always something to do around the shop when there are no deliveries, so i am baffled as to why they would cut my hours. I have been working the same days they told me to work and taking off the days they have told me to take off since day 1. I still need to pay bills and they dont care.
