custody trial. Lawyers were mandated to follow psych evaluation by judge. Well, it didn't happen in conciliation conference. My X's lawyer out-beat mine ( i at time had public defender) Ended up totally against psych evaluation. Then believe it or not I was dropped with free lawyer-funding for free legal representation. Now I have a trial date set Oct 25th .At present I donot have a lawyer and my X's lawyer negated court order by judge to follow recommendation of psych evaluation. I don't get it? How can a lawyer do that? I went to trial because my X refuses allowance for my children to receive counseling- I have TWO MEDICAL REFERALS SHOWING NECESSITY? please anyone help*******************
How in the world can a lawyer negate a judge order to follow results of a psych eval recommendation and not do it? PLEASE SUGGEST WHAT I SHOULD DO? at present I set an apt. back with psych evaluator to state what is happening, is there any suggestions out there?

I forgot to mention order for lawyers to follow psych evaluation was from a judge. The judge demanded lawyers participation to go with whatever ruling came in from psych evaluator

Yes, when you go to court, it needs to be brought to the judge's attention that the atty did NOT adhere to the evaluator's conclusion, as ordered.
Get an atty. Contact the NC Bar to inquire about attys accepting pro bono or reduced fees.

You can always call the judges' office prior to the trial date and inform him that the other party is not following his order. Judges are not typically fond of this happening. When you call, make sure you referrence your case number with your name, and give him a brief statement of what's happening, and a number you can be reached at. Good luck!

Mom Prayer, usually court orders are directed at the parties, not the lawyers.
Are you sure the court ordered the lawyers to do something? That sounds rather odd.
And judges don't really like to have parties calling them and trying to give them info about a case outside the courtroom. That is called "ex parte" contact and it is not encouraged.

I don't understand why does the lawyer have to have a psych evaluation? this seems very strange...
Why should anyone file a complaint against an attorney on this? or give advice to do so?? something is not right here.
