I am a teacher in a middle school in Arizona. As all teachers do, I have been assigned to a duty schedule. My specific duty occurs during what is suposed to be my lunch break. I am required to stand in the 110' heat and supervise students for 30 minutes. I was told that I am allowed to eat my lunch standing there while I supervised. Isn't this against the law? Please help me!

There is no such law, assuming you are paid for the time you are supervising the children. Non-exempt employees that do any work during a thirty minute lunch break should be paid for the entire time. You might be non-exempt and should be paid for the lunch time. You could be exempt and are paid for the time, whether or not you are watching the children.
