I was just suspended by the emplyee relations department from my place of work. A food vender says I used profane language when I asked her for change for a $5 and she refused. There were no whitnesses to our conversation and her friends with the company say they heard me curse at her. Niether of us used profane language. They took my badge and suspended me untill further notice. I wrote a statement and suggested the employees who are lying should be suspended as well, and ER said they cannot state the actions being taken against the other people involved. I have only been with this company for a month and suspect they are withholding hours from my check also, as I see when I look up my hours in the employee intranet. When I recieve my check I will know for sure. How should I handle this wrongful accusation?? They say they need to investigate it, but I feel like I am guilty untill proven innocent. Do they really have the right to suspend me??

Yup.
In the absence of some sort of contract, you can be terminated at any time with or without reason or cause.
A company is not a court of law that must investigate a case and find evidence that supports guilt or innocence.
Many people have been fired for a she said/he said that was neither investigated nor proven.
If you are not given credit for all your hours, talk to the DOL.

They can suspend you & even if they end of firing you, there would be nothing illegal done. Since your employment is at-will, you can be fired at any time for any reason not protected by law such as age, sex, religion, etc. unless you have a contract or CBA to the contrary. It's just like you can quit your job at any time for any reason unless there is a contract to the contrary.
If you believe you are not being paid correctly after receiving your check, you can contact your state's DOL. (or since you have only been there a mo., you might want to talk to your employer 1st - maybe there is a misunderstanding re wage calculations)
Since you say you didn't use profane language, I hope things work out for you.
