I posted the previous subject of "Mechanic's Lien" a few posts ago.
Our condo that we sold had a mechanic's lien, no fault of our own, so that when we sold the title co. withheld $500 for a $43 lien (per unit).
That lien was officially released an entire month ago. Now this title co. has refused to give us the $500 back. They ignore our calls and we had to get our real estate agent on them, which they still have not refunded that money that they are still "neutrally" holding.
Can someone please tell me where to make a complaint against this title company? I know I can do the Better Business Bureau. Anywhere else? I am thinking that perhaps they are breaking some kind of law here. Any input would be really helpful.
