Have a situation. For the past three years, I have been struggling at my job because of the work schedule. I have repeatedly ask for a change. This was not my original schedule and i got slighted to work here temporarily. However, temporarily senses to mean forever to them. Well, the schedule has been interfering with everything in my life and for the last past year and a half i have been struggling with stress and depression. Been to see numerous doctors. I have asked to change my schedule and they keep telling me they cannot. If I cannot take this anymore, and decide to quit, is there any way i can collect unemployment?
I went to an unemplyment website and they say collecting unemplyment is possible when you quit if you quit because of a personal necessary reason to be decided by a caseworker. Can anyone advise me?

Call your local unemployment office. If you quit due to depression and stress, etc., they will see that as being "unable to work" or "unavailable for work" and you will not qualify.

OK so under what conditions can you quit and be able to collect unemployment?

Off hand, I'm not aware of any except one potential situation...when your employer drops your schedule/compensation significantly. I agree with Sue...it is best to talk with your local unemployment office...every office in every state is a little different.
Let me know if we can assist further. Lil
