Hi everyone, I am new to this board but I have some questions.
I work at (deleted)- been there for 2 years now - and I used to work 3-10pm (7 hours) and got an hour lunch. Thanks to college, my availability changed to 5-10pm so I wasn't expecting a lunch. Now college is over and I changed my availability back to 3-10pm but now they have me scheduled to take only a half hour lunch... So for instance my schedule this week is Monday & Tuesday 3-10pm with a half hour lunch scattered somewhere in the two days but then on Thursday I am scheduled 3-10 and given an hour lunch.
I remember back when I first started I used to take only a half hour lunch, but a manager named Don told me that anyone who works more then 6 hours gets an hour lunch. Just recently I asked another manager and he said we are only guarenteed a half hour... can someone please state to me, in child terms, the NY Labor Laws regarding lunches and breaks????
