I am looking for a new job in Phoenix but I am also 17 weeks pregnant with twins. My question is does my new employer have to give me 6 weeks maternity leave? and if not what do I get if anything.

I'm not where I can confirm details but if memory serves, AZ does not have any mandatory maternity leave, and you will not be eligible for FMLA. So you will be entitled to whatever the company's policy is to provide.

Congrats on the twins! It is great to be mom of twins! *Ü* *Ü* You might also talk to your doctor about how much time you should need to be out of work. If it is a high risk pregnancy, you might also encounter bedrest on the frontend.

What might be helpful (if you do tell potential employers) is to have a plan of action if you got put on bedrest, etc. How would you deal with it? Could you work from home? Do you have the equipment available (laptop, wireless, modem, etc). Is the type of work you want to perform do-able from home? I did this while on bedrest to save the amount of timeoff I needed once the girlies were born. Luckily I had been with the company 4 yrs at that point.
