I Have a complaint. I've been workng at this company for almost 3 years. Recently, the company bought new machinery to replace some old machinery.During this time, a hand full of people were sent out of state to be trained to work on these types of machines. While I was there, I received a certificate stating I was qualified to work on these machines. During this time I purchased tools and a computer just for these types of machines. After about a month of being on my own set of machines, I was taken off of them, then put on them on another shift.Where I spent about a week, and then permanetly.I tried to talk to management, but there excuse was I wasn't progressing and was too slow. After the fact, that My supervisor had no complaints and said I was doing a good job. I even tried to go to the owner, but was given the run-around by management. Do I have a case?

A case for what? No, you don't. The employer is perfectly within his legal rights to reassign you. Why did you buy equipment on your own?

Because the employer did not supply us with the equipment.

Even after being certified for this job, does the company still have the right to move me to another job without a good reason?

Yes, they do. There is no law that says you cannot be reassigned, certification or not.
