Can I take the short term disability earlier than my due date? I am due in July and as I am getting closer I am getting very tired and not able to work full time. Is there a way I can take STD earlier? Is there a automatic eligibility of STD after certain weeks of pregnancy?

Illinois does not have state mandated disability so the answer to your question depends entirely on your particular policy.

In general, you can go out when your doctor declares that you are no longer capable of working, which may or may not be your due date. However, that is only a general overview of how most policies work - your policy may say otherwise.
