Hi

Assuming I am eligible for CA OT, if I work five consecutive ten hour shifts (M-F), how many hours of OT am I eligible for?

Is it 18 (two hours for each of the first four days plus ten hours for the last)?

Thanks

In Ca. any hrs. worked over 8 in a day qualify for overtime. I believe you would just get paid for two hrs. of overtime for each of the 5 days.

If you worked 5 - 10hr shifts, you would be eligible for 10hrs of daily OT. Once an hour as been counted as OT, it is not eligible towards weekly OT. You would have 40reg hours and 10 OT hours.
