To all who replied to my previous post I want to say THANK YOU!!!
I have not recieved a job offer yet and I am not counting chickens before they've hatched.
However, my second interview was very positive and I feel I have a good shot at this new job. It was all due to calmer voices that guided me away from the anger (okay crap) that I usingwas trying to justify a bad situation. I still belive I was not at fault, buuuttt, we all know how that goes.
It's easy to ask a friend for help. They know you and will tell you what you want to hear. It's also easy to ask for help from a stranger. The difference is, the help you get from a friend is comforting, but the help you get from the stranger is eye opening. That has been the case for me here, and again, I thank you all who responed.
I may not get the job, but I am more confident and comfortable because I am better prepared to deal with the situation in a more diplomatic fashion that if I had heeded the emotional voice of friends. Not that friendly advice is not good, but objective is more constructive.
Thanks all,
Spinner
