I pay support for two children. I have never been late for
the whole duration of my childrens upbringings. My son is eighteen now, he has failed once in school and is scheduled to graduate this month. He is active in the military also. His mother called me and told me he is planning on going to college. My question is when does child support end for an eighteen yr old.How much does school play into the picture.I know for a fact that the decision to go to college is a scam from his mother to prolong his support. Becouse my son will not apply himself to any academics. He is graduating from a special academics program. Becouse he will not apply himself in a normal school. When does it end.

I have been looking for similar answer as well & so far everything says until they're graduated high school or 19 unless it was written differently in the court order.

Don't let her push you around, it's just a feeble attempt to keep your money coming in.

Unless your court order states differently, CS in Texas ends at age 18, or graduation from high school, whichever is later.

Read your court order, if there's nothing in there about college, you can file to terminate the CS.

Thanks for the reply, my answer was staring me in the eye.
My son was emancipated the day he took oath for the military. That was the grounds to terminate support last year. But, I just become aware of this fact. I cant wait to see my ex wife face when this takes flight next month.
