I have had a complicated pregnancy and was placed out on stress Leave As Of 04/05/07. I have not delivered yet however I am due 05/24/07. I recieved A Call Today ( 5/14/2007) from My VP alerting me that my last day with the Company Is 06/14/07.
My Question Is, since I am out based On a High Risk Pregnancy, Should The Announcement Have Been waited until I returned?
Our Unit Is Being Outsourced And 11 people were terminated with the exception of 20 Others.
I was admitted today ( 5/14/07) due to an Anxiety Attack.

I was under the impression that once someone is out on Medical leave all cinduct of business is at a hault until the person return back to work, is this true?

They cannot fire you BECAUSE you are out on leave, but if they were going to fire you regardless, since there is a layoff and they were terminating people, it is legal.
