About 2 weeks ago was my office managers b-day and some of the guys in the warehouse shrink wrapped her car (funny i must say). She came into the office and was laughing about. I laughed to and then she came to me and said "i know you did it too" and punched me!! I had nothing to do with it and i was a little more than upset. Do i have a case with the labor board?? and how do i report it?? Since then i quit my job due to the unprofesional attitude around the office.

Did you report it to your employer?

Since you quit the job, unrelated to this incident. I don't see what "damages" you might be due.

The labor board is not going to get involved here. If it was truly an assault, then you could press charges with the police. If this was a playful punch after a prank, you aren't going to get far. It may have been unprofessional, but so was laughing at the boss and shrink wrapping the car.

If she was laughing and punched you, that sound like horse play. Are you sure your not being a little thin skinned. I mean after all she took the joke in stride.

Gotta agree with the above posters. This is not something the labor board is going to get involved with. Nor does it sound like anything but horseplay, which is not going to give you a claim for assault. You can try talking to the police, but be prepared for them to blow you off.
