On Friday I was sent home telling me I was suspended from my job I have been there for over a year and was the trainer on the floor, For the pharmacy I was working for in Phx. When I questioned why there response was that they believed I authorized a return of a medication which should never have been authorized. I work for a mail order pharmacy and they have procedures for when they can be returned and when they cannot. They showed me No proof of this and as a trainer four other people had access to my passwords in the systems. They should have placed there initials on the work but this is not always the case. My question is this... Is this legal for them to do without proof it is me? And what should I do??? I am lost I love my job but recently applied for a position in the company and this seems real conveniant... I have placed some applications as well as looked into the law but I have not found anything yet.

This is what employee at will means, I do not think you can do anything because they fired you, and it was not a firing because of a protected reason (color, age, etc).

"The Employment at Will doctrine means that employment is voluntary for both employees and employers. As an at-will employee, you may quit your job whenever and for whatever reason you want, usually without consequence. In turn, at-will employers may terminate you whenever and for whatever reason they want, usually without consequence."

They may suspend you or even fire you if they believe you have done something wrong. They are not a court of law and are not required to have proof.
