Checking,

An Officer was told he had to either quit or he was fired due to the fact he was convicted of a simple misdemeanor for Domestic Abuse. This Officer does not carry a weapon. Checking if this Officer should be able to get his job back due to the fact the requirements for Iowa are as long as you are not convicted of a aggravated assault or felony you can be a security officer.

Iowa is an at-will employment state & you can be terminated at any time for any reason not protected by law (ie age, religion, sex, etc.) unless you have a contract to the contrary. Being convicted of a crime is not a protected class in the state of Iowa.
