I was married to my wife for almost 4 years, and she was always scheming something. We agreed from the onset to postpone having a family for at least 5 years so we be more financially stable. That was my idea because both had entry level type jobs she was in debt already after leaving college. She agreed, but shortly after we married and moved into an apartment in Florida she refused to pay assume her own portion of financial obligations in the household. Every now and again she would threaten me with immigration claiming that I married her for green card, etc. Then suddenly, she got pregnant even though she was supposed to be on birth control, and then I really began seeing hell. Unfortunately for her, she had a miscarraige. I then went and secretly got a visectomy. I did this because one day I overheard she and her friend talking about the hell her friend's ex was being put through over Child support and it made me sick to hear how the system works.

Well, somehow she found out that I had had a visectomy and she almost exploded. Cut a long story short, she filed for divorce after i moved out, and made all kinds of crazy demands in her useless lawsuit. She is asking for alimony and everything else getable. Can she get alimony even though she has a job?

for a marriage that was so short- it is unlikely that she will be awarded alimony, especially if she has the means to support herself
