If my husband takes a job overseas and the money is tax free, what does that do for child support?

Please don't get me wrong - it is a lot more money than he makes now, and we don't want to lower child support at all - but we don't want it to double because the child never sees a penny besides the trailer payment and car payment. We like putting money aside in an education savings account for her because we know it will go to good use and someone has to think about her future. Thanks for the feedback.

Oh - by the way - this is on the presumption that they figure out CS by tax returns and what not....

If that is not the case, do they figure it out by taking a percentage of the supposed salary? Thanks.

Generally it's figured by check stubs and most states (can't swear to GA) figures it before taxes anyway. More then likely the support would go up for a few reasons... One is because of the extra money.. the other would be b/c he wouldn't have as much visitation with the child presumably if he's overseas.

GA recently changed their CS rules to include the CP's income also.. has CS been refigured since then?

It's in Ohio, not Georgia...
