...What is frustrating me is that I dont understand WHY louisiana seems to take their time on these things....

That, alas, is the nature of the court system.

I do not know what the hold up is either, but unfortunatley, it is what happens sometimes.

In my case, it was 10 days from the time bio-Dad filed the parentage petition to the time I was served. But every jursdiction is different.

I know you are feeling desperate, but, as someone who was actually a member of the media (in Louisiana, no less), I don't think you could find anyone to print or air your story. It would be very hard to paint a balanced picture without the Mother's side. And even though I am proud of you for taking your responsibility seriously, I don't think there is anything particulary "special" or newsworthy about a man who acts like a man. That's what I would think if I was still in a newsroom and took your call. TV stations get calls, letters and e-mails every day about why someone has a good story to tell. It's really just too much to sift through, even in a smaller market.

You could contact a columnist from the paper who could do a story just on YOU, but I sincerely doubt that it would have any effect whatsoever on the courts and the process. Not to mention, if you use her name or the name of a judge, you could get yourself sued.
