Hello,
We have 2 pregnant employees who provide assistance to elderly clients by providing daily living help. They have not said anything about not being able to do the physical part of the job but our job description does require they be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance and 350 pounds with assistance. One is eligible for FMLA but the other is not. I know we cannot require they take leave early and can work as long as they can do the job but can we require they get a doctors release so that if they do injure themselves or their baby while doing their job we have some sort of protection? What are your recommendations with this?
Thank You
