I work in a restaurant and in the past we only post on the schedule what time the employee begins their shift. We are now going to use a software based scheduling program that requires an out time be entered. I have two questions:

1. Is it legal to only give the employee an in time with no specified out time?

2. If an out time is posted are we required to let the employee leave at that time even if business dictates that we need the employee to stay?
