Is there a statute that would prevent a father from obtaining blood type of his child? The father in question was asked to complete some health-related documents at his daughter's day care, but he couldn't answer the question about blood type. Mother (divorced) refused to tell him over the phone and stated she would handle the paperwork.
She is the custodial parent primarily because he was in the military after the birth of the child, and subject to being deployed.
Does he have any rights to child medical records?

Every state has a statute protecting a legal parent's right to thier child's medical records. I'm not sure what Arkansas's statute number is though. It probably isn't needed anyway, does Dad know who his child's Dr is? If so, all he needs to do is go to the Dr.'s office with proof that he's the legal father and ask for the info.

I'll suggest that to him. He tries really hard to get along with the mother -- he's an incredible dad and always puts his daughter first. The ex-wife makes it difficult. He's trying to be understanding because she is single, pregnant and struggling with her new partner. (he is my daughter's boyfriend and simply one of the nicest guys ever)
Thanks for the advice.:D
