He gets them everyother weekend. There is nothing in our papers about moving. He has been moving himself back and forth from Indiana for the last 9 yrs. tarheit 04-24-2007, 09:06 AM I don't believe he can stop you from moving. However, figure in the time and expense of the trips for visitation every other weekend to your decision. -Tim Baystategirl 04-24-2007, 09:50 AM I don't believe he can stop you from moving. Save yourself a lot of trouble and ask his permission to move, if he won't give it you need to get permission from court. Be prepared to show how this will be in the best interest of the CHILDREN...Not you and not your husband. xena 04-24-2007, 04:07 PM Also, when you ask ex about moving, ask by letter that is mailed by certified return reciept mail. smile4me_nu 04-27-2007, 07:20 AM I thought I would let ALL know what I found out about this... I talked to a lawyer and a woman at the court house about the OHIO laws on this. I will have to file a motion to relocate which (cost $100.) Then he will be sent papers and has 14 days to disagree. If he disagrees then we will go to court and he can try to get custody. Which I was informed NOT to worry about. That the court hearing will be more for setting up different visitation since driving 14 hrs one way every other weekend is unrealistic. I will also have to prove to the court this is in the best interest of the kids. Just an FYI for anyone else that was wondering the same.
