What are the federal guidelines for OT in Md. Is it defined as any hours worked over 80 in a two week pay period, or any hours worked over 40 hours in a week? Thanks.....................My company is based out of Alexandria Va. but I work in MD so just wanted to know how this affects any OT I may or may not be entitled to?

Maryland follows federal law, i.e. over 40 hours in a workweek. There are some exceptions for hospitals/nursing homes, police, firefighters, etc.

So does Virginia.
