When offered a job with a letter outlining job details and wages based on salary, can the compnay later expect one to fullfil those requirements along with an additional added 24 hours a day, month after month on-call status with no monitary pay? This is a IT management position. TY

Yes. Your recourse is to find a new position if you're not happy with their expectations.

Your boss is expecting you to work an ADDITIONAL 24 hours a DAY? How is that possible?

Working an average of 50 hours a week salary, and then carrying a laptop and company cell phone. Answering phone calls and remoting via computer at any given time around the clock...even 2 or 3 am...some calls have been 1 to 4 hours in length to resolve issues. I enjoy my job..just wondering about compensation for extra work? Legalities?

Are you exempt or non-exempt? It makes a difference.

Then no, you are not legally entitled to any additional pay, ever, no matter how many hours you work.
