Quick question that I cant seem to find online.
In California, what are the maximum 8 hour days in a row that an employee is legally allowed to work?
I am currently on day 9, however, there was a meeting on sunday that I came in for, for 3 hours. My managers say that counts as a work day, but I am a bit fuzzy.

While Labor Code 551 povides that "every person employed in any occupation of labor is entitled to one day's rest therefrom in seven," and Labor Code 552 provides that "no employer of labor shall cause his employees to work more than six days in seven," Labor Code 554 makes it clear that "nothing shall be construed to prevent an accumulation of days of rest when the nature of the employment reasonably requires that the employee work seven or more consecutive days, if in each calendar month the employee receives days of rest equivalent to one day's rest in seven."
Gotta love the "fine print" in labor laws.

Glad it's not how I make mine. BSPCPA, you probably are, too. ;)
