It is possible that I may asked to transfer to a work location that is 65 miles from my residence. Is this legal? What are the regulations concerning forced transfer?
Much thanks.

What are the regulations concerning forced transfer? Much thanks. Yes, it is legal. cbg 04-10-2007, 01:27 PM There are no laws addressing transfers. Unless you have a bona fide contract that guarantees you will always be at one location, you may be transferred as the company needs you, with or without your permission or agreement. If you refuse the transfer you can legally be fired. You are free to look for other employment at any time. raouldukeII 04-10-2007, 03:18 PM Thanks for the info. It is better to be prepared for all contingencies. |
