I was recently terminated in February of 2007. I was wrongfully terminated in the first place but to top it all off my managers decided that before they were going to fire me that they were going to tell a fellow employee, who happened to be my cousin, that they were going to fire me an why. There was no reason that she needed to know that I was going to be fired and especially not why. Is there anything I can do? Can I possibly file a complaint anywhere?

No, telling your cousin may have been bad management but it doesn't violate any confidentiality laws.

With VERY rare exceptions, the only information that an employer is required by law to keep confidential is any medical information they may have on you.

95% of people who post here who believe they were wrongfully terminated, were not. Wrongful termination does not mean what most people think it means. You don't have to, but do you want to share with us why you think your termination was wrongful?
