I have been with this company now for 3 months and I have not recieved any of my paychecks on the scheduled date mentioned in the employment hand book. Currently, this company pays their employees on the 10th and 25th of each month. So far, paychecks have come on average 2 to 4 days after those scheduled dates. The company does not hand deliever the checks, but rather mails them. They say that as long as the pay checks are in the mail on the scheduled date, they are on time. I just want to verify that mailing the checks on the scheduled dates means the same as recieving them on the scheduled dates.

It is called "constructive receipt" and quite legal. Would you rather they held the check at the office for you to pick it up?

The company will by no-ways or means allow us to pick up our checks at the office. They feel that to much production time is lost when employees look at their pay checks.
Thanks for your response.

Do they not offer direct deposit?

No the company does not offer direct deposit.
That is too bad.
You get paid faster (no delay by the mail, no lost checks) and it is cheaper for the company.
