We recently sold our home, however the deed is still in our names. Real Property still says so, and the local government still has property taxes in our name. It seems the Title company screwed up and never transfered the deed over to the new owner. We've called and told them and they've still not fixed it. It's been almost a year now.
Question is, do we have any legal right to the property since the deed is still in our name? Or is the bill of sale for the house enough for the current owner to claim a total stake in the property?
Thanks for any help you can provide on this.
