This is totally unfair in my opinion. My father is an hourly worker at a papermill here in SC. Lately, he has been getting unreasonable amount of overtime because they are not giving him any days off. Are there any laws about this sort of thing? He is being paid overtime for every hour over 40 he is working in the week but, whoopy-do I never get to see him. Is there anything going on that we can sew about? I'll be checking back frequently so thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry.
As long as they are paying him properly for it, an employer can make your dad work every day all day.
It isn't the best business practice, but it isn't illegal. There are two states that limit the amount of overtime, but SC isn't one of them.

Not in your state. So long as he is being paid what he is due, there is nothing you can do about the overtime. Well, maybe lobby your legislature to adopt more employee friendly laws, but that won't happen in the Southeast, which is the least employee friendly region of the nation.
