In most states they can go back and find out what grade you got in fingerpainting in kindergarten if they want to.

The law may limit the USE of some information but few if any states limit how far back the employer may look.

I don't know of any laws that limit how far back they can go.

Some states don't allow access to juvenile records, if that helps.

I just was wondering I heard a couple states only go back 5 to 7 yrs. I feel people do stupid things and sometimes it seems like they pay for it for ever.

My state (and others) do not allow anyone EVER convicted of a felony from working as a security guard.
