I work in Nevada. I had given my employer two weeks notice of resignation, but the employer said it would be better for them if I left before the two weeks. Is the employer obligated to pay me for the full two weeks?

No, sorry, they're not. Many employers will do so voluntarily but they are not obligated to pay you beyond the last day you actually worked, regardless of whose idea it was that you not work the notice out.
