My job says they only pay by the half hour not by the minute. Meaning if i work 25 minutes i dont get paid for it since its not a full half hour. If you have proof that it is illegal please send it to me. Thank you

You are partially correct. Your employer does not have to pay by the minute and may round your time but to the quarter hour and the rounding must work both ways.
