hi my boyfriend recently just started a job Monday. he works everyday including Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the problems are his employer doesn't give him breaks. not one! and he also told me this man has about 5 other people working there and no one gets breaks. his boss ownes a small automotive buisness.
the other thing i am concerned about is that i also read by law he has to have posters up of employee right and i also beive he must have OSHA posters up.

i have researched this and i know by state law in ma he has to give him one 30 min break. im not sure about the posters
i been looking online and all over my town and for someone or a phone number to call and i haven't gotten any help.
i live in new bedford, ma.
can someone please help me with my concerns.

YOU should not be the one who makes any phone calls or contact about this. It's fine for you to get the information for your boyfriend but HE needs to be the one to make any complaints. It's HIS employment - no one has any legal obligation to discuss it with you.

I'm talking about complaints to the AG's office as well as any internal complaints.

i completely understand that but he also feels the same way as i do. he feels as tho he is getting treated as a slave, having to work 8 hours straight with out a break. all i am simply trying to do i find out info so he can get help because neither of us know where to go. its not just me, i am only assisting him in this search for information. and the reason why i am posting on here is because he doesn't know much about computers so he asked me to type this for him.

That's fine; there's nothing wrong with your compiling the information.

All I'm saying is that when it's time to act on the information, HE needs to do it.
