What is my right if my attorney decides to drop my case which he's been working on for over a year now. I have until December to file my slip and fall case and my lawyer has all the contact information like the adjuster calls and my medical files, etc. What is my right?

Go get it.

If the lawyer does not release it, then file a complaint with the state bar.

Unless, of course, some of the file contains things that you promised to pay for and haven't.

Such as experts, travel or the like.

How far behind are you on your payments?

I'm not behind in any payments. My lawyer only gets paid if I get money.

i was told i am entitle to file NO MATTER WHAT IS OWED, which i am just about to sue ex attorney have all i need i am thinking for a successful suit.
