just wanted to know the legality of this...

I was terminated by my employer and given a termination agreement that will give me 2 weeks pay and was given 21 days to sign and already have it signed by the employer. I just got an email yesterday (5 days into the 21 days) saying he is withdrawing this offer... is he allowed to do that or does he have to give me the 21 days specified within the document?

what if I already signed it and mailed it back? ... if he just rips it up when he gets it what can I do? (i have a copy)

Please let me know what the law has to say about this.

Thanks

You need to have an attorney review the document. We cannot interpret an agreement we have not read and contract law is state-specific and the "devil is in the details".

Don't do either. I am not an attorney. And to my knowledge, only two or three responders here are attorneys and none are licensed to practice in North Carolina. This is a matter of contract law for which you should be willing to pay at least a reasonable fee for review of the documentation. This is why attorneys get law degrees.
