I work for a manufacturing corporation in Massachusetts that has been affected by overseas competition, which has led to many lay-offs etc.
We haven't had a raise in almost 5 years.
I have heard that a company HAS to give a mandatory raise at least every 5 years.

Is this true?
Is it mandatory?

"Dazed with no Raise" in Massachusetts.

The only time that a company must increase salaries is if employees are making the minimum wage and the minimum wage is increased by law.
